ChartVPS Review (2026): Plans, Latency, Hardware & Pricing

ChartVPS is a trading-focused VPS provider with data centers in Chicago, New York, London, Frankfurt, Singapore, Tokyo and Dallas, selling three product lines: Alpha (CPU plans on the AMD Ryzen 9 9950X), Gamma (VPS with an NVIDIA L4 GPU) and Delta (dedicated servers). Plans start at $50 a month, with 30% off the first month for new customers. Here's what each tier includes, what it costs after the promo, what ChartVPS claims on latency and uptime, and where it lands against QuantVPS at the same budget. • Hardware is current. Alpha plans run the Ryzen 9 9950X with DDR5 and Gen4 NVMe. Older reviews (including earlier versions of this one) that called ChartVPS hardware dated no longer apply.
• Plans are storage-heavy, core-light. Alpha Mark-1 is $50 for 2 cores, 4 GB DDR5 and 128 GB of NVMe.
• Gamma is the unusual product. A VPS with an NVIDIA L4 GPU (7,424 CUDA cores) from $100/month, for GPU-accelerated order-flow and charting tools.

Plans and Pricing

Alpha Series (CPU plans), all on the AMD Ryzen 9 9950X, DDR5, Gen4 NVMe, 3–10 Gbps unlimited network:

Gamma Series (GPU VPS), from $100/month: 3 cores, 10 GB DDR5, 250 GB NVMe and an NVIDIA L4 GPU with 7,424 CUDA cores. This is for platforms that offload rendering or computation to a GPU (heavy order-flow visualisation, some charting packages). A standard NinjaTrader, MetaTrader or TradeStation setup doesn't use it.

Delta Series (dedicated servers), from $250/month: 16 cores / 32 threads, 128 GB ECC memory, 2 × 1 TB NVMe, GPU optional. Current dedicated promos: Delta Chicago $270 (was $300), Delta SE New York $225 (was $250), Delta International $280 (was $400, three-month minimum).

Included on every plan: a three-year price lock on new subscriptions, ServerIQ monitoring, DDoS protection and automated daily backups. Earlier versions of this review listed DDoS protection, backups and ServerIQ as $10–15 add-ons; they're now bundled.

System Performance

ChartVPS claims 0–1 ms typical latency to CME from Chicago, 99.99% measured uptime with a 100% SLA, and a top-1% PassMark ranking for its Alpha plans. Those are vendor claims; we haven't run our own tests on their machines. The hardware behind them is real, though: the Ryzen 9 9950X is a current-generation part with strong single-thread performance, which is what NinjaTrader, MetaTrader and most charting platforms depend on.

The trade-off in the Alpha lineup is core count. Two cores on Mark-1 is enough for one platform with a few charts. A platform plus a trade copier, or two platforms, puts you on Mark-2 or Mark-3, and at that point cores per dollar matters more than the storage you're paying for.

Locations

Chicago, New York, London, Frankfurt, Singapore, Tokyo and Dallas, with Hong Kong listed as coming soon. For CME futures, Chicago is the one that matters; for NYSE and Nasdaq equities, New York; for European forex sessions, London or Frankfurt. ChartVPS has Singapore and Dallas, which QuantVPS doesn't; QuantVPS has Dublin and Amsterdam, which ChartVPS doesn't. For CME futures neither difference matters.

Platforms and Operating Systems

ChartVPS lists NinjaTrader, MultiCharts, TradeStation, cTrader, thinkorswim, Kinetick and MetaTrader as supported, on Windows or Linux. Additional tools include ServerIQ for performance tracking and the company's TradeCopy and NEXT offerings for copying and algorithmic trading.

Support

Support is advertised as 24/7 human coverage with an average first response under two minutes, by live chat and phone (+1 888-237-7606), including remote assistance and help with platform installation. Earlier versions of this review reported mixed customer feedback on support; we don't have current independent data either way, so treat the response-time figure as the vendor's claim.

Prop-Firm Compatibility

ChartVPS markets to hedge funds, institutions and professional traders, including funded accounts. Its latency, uptime and platform support make it workable for prop-firm accounts; there's no prop-firm-specific setup, so you configure the platform and any copier yourself. Check each firm's rules on IP addresses, software and data center location before deploying.

Verdict

ChartVPS runs current hardware; the old criticism that it's dated no longer applies. Its plans are built around storage and the GPU VPS option, and priced that way. It fits if you need either of those, or Singapore or Dallas; if so, use NEWCLIENTfor the first month and the annual code if you're staying.

If what you're buying is compute per dollar for a futures platform, a copier or a prop-firm account, QuantVPS gives you more cores at each price point, a lower starting price and a published latency number, with the prop-firm and copier setup already done.
